The only real "pro" controller below $1200 dollars... and it's half that!
The MC6000MK2 is the right intersection of price and performance; it's also tank-like and has a very pro feel. In many ways the device is more pro than controllers two or 3 times its cost; while it doesn't have features like performance pads etc, those can be added easily (and more flexibly) through Akai finger-drum pads or a Novation Launchpad, but you can't take something like Pioneer's controllers and turn them into super-solid all-metal construction.I'd say the only disadvantage, and only JUST a disadvantage, is that it's about 18.75" wide and so its four channels can be a little cramped. But overall, its rock-solid construction, uncluttered "everything a dj needs and nothing they don't" layout, and an amazingly good internal ASIO soundcard (also, it now comes with the full version of Serato DJ) means that the unit is ready whether you are in a club, a studio, or you're taking it around as a mobile DJ.You cannot go wrong with it. Between this and the Prime series gear, Pioneer has a LOT to be worried about. I used to run all pioneer gear since ~2000, but I am slowly transitioning to Denon.Lastly, in the image you'll see a stand. It is this one: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01BH7VV8Y/ref=cm_cr_ryp_prd_ttl_sol_0And as you can see it's like it was made for the unit. It's a perfect compact solution for getting the device at the right height for efficient practice or as a backup if you need to play out and all they have is a regular-height table to play on.

This mixer has 4 channels for you mobile DJs out there, this in my opinion is a necessity. It puts out a great sound. It has effects features on the board that are easy to use. The biggest plus again for you mobile DJs is 2 microphone channels and a Low, Mid, and High, and volume control for each microphone input. If you need more than one mic at an event this is the way to go. The hardware is durable though I wouldn't recommend throwing it around on purpose. I did drop it accidentally and it worked as normal when I used it next. Very happy with his board. There are more expensive ones of the club DJs or the mixing DJs but this board is perfect for the pro that is doing events and doesn't need all the bells and whistles of mixing, though it does have a handy auto beat matching sync button if you want to use that.

Initially I was very pleased with this unit, but when I tried to connect unit to a club mixer, using the unbalanced rca. Nothinng, nada. No sound from house mixer. It was in line input..but no sound.

I contacted denon dj, no response. Very disappointed. I should have went with trusted pioneer cdjs. Leson learned.

Aspiring djsh, this unit is fine for home use.. not recommended for pro use

I got tired of carrying those big controllers with the Odyssey case. The Denon is great because it's small, built well, works great with serato and it's affordable. Some DJs may not like it because of the smaller jog wheels and the absence of the performance pads, but I can live without it because it has a excellent audio interface better than some of the more expensive and bigger controllers. If you're not into all the bells and whistles and you just want to DJ, Denon is the best out there now.

This is a great DJ controller for anybody who wants to have more advanced functionality and doesn't want to go over a grand. I was sold on this controller as an effective 4 channel mixer with great compatibility and build quality at a more economic price. After getting it, I learned that this had split-cue capabilities (which Pioneer doesn't have on the SX2 apparently), and Serato Video compatibility as well. The sole downside is the lack of performance pads but I already knew about that when I decided to purchase the controller and it isn't too hard to do effective sample, loop, and cue handling on this controller. Overall, this is a great buy for somebody wanting a more compact DJ Controller.

This is my 3rd controller, having had a Mixpro and a dd-sz Pioneer I bought used.. The pioneer's crossfader messed up on me, so I caught this Denon on a deal from Amazon... I love the compactness, strong, built like a tank, and the soundcard in it is excellent!! Since I already suscribe monthly to V- DJ, this was pretty much a plug-and-play effort to set up the controller and start playing.. I'm still learning the nuances of this great controller and even though I bought it used from the Warehouse, it came packaged with all the parts, no scratches or dents on the machine either! I will be enjoying this controller for years to come...
