Tema: Ask the DJ payments
Hello, I have a suggestion, on the "Ask The DJ" link for the tip button, on top of having paypal, is there a way to do cashapp or zelle too?? I get alot of customers that want to tip me but say that dont have paypal but they have cashapp &/or zelle.

Request for alternative, lots don't use PayPal. Plus they are very expensive taking 35%. Stripe or square maybe?

A long with the other suggestions, even if you could utilize PayPal or Venmo under friends and family to avoid the fees, that would be great.

I'm from the UK and find the idea of taking a tip to play a song at a gig you are already paid for pretty bad.

I guess it's a USA thing.

I'm from the UK, too. We don't have the same tip culture as the US. All I can see is that we may get fewer rubbish requests if we charge a tip for a song 🤣 It comes handy if we are on a stage with limited access as I had on Friday. It doesn't mean I will play every Ask The DJ request. 😊

Are know you are making fun... But it kind of is in a lot of places in Northern Europe :)
Not only is tipping not a thing. If we are offered money, and we feel we haven't fully earned it, we don't accept it
Yes it's definitely a cultural thing

I turn down tips all the time. What I find happens is, once you take the tip they now think they have a right to just request whatever they want and that im SUPPOSED to play whatever they ask for. For that reason alone Im weary when it comes to getting tips.

id like to add that revolut would be a good payment option for tips. if a link could be added to the ask the dj .

i dont expect a tip for playing a song, but sometimes if you doa charity gig, or if someone just wants to show their gratitude for an event that you did, and also ask for a song in the process using the same link
