I looked at the location where VDJ backs up the database. There is a whole lot of backups that are dated with the dates that they were backed up. My question is when I use the restore function, does VDJ take the latest date, or should I just get rid of all the backups except for the lates one?

When you restore you pick a dated file, from time to time I delete all but the most recent 2 backups, but your backups you might want different levels of redundancy.

I'd say it depends on how often you use VDJ and how often you change stuff (add/remove/adjust) in VDJ.
If you rarely change anything, there's less need for multiple backups.
In daily use with lots of regular changes, maybe keep a week's worth.

Thanks for your replies. I usually back up the whole VDJ folder on an external drive and when I get a new computer, I just replace the VDJ folder with the backup to make sure I get everything. The VDJ backup seems to be good if my current computer loses some info.
