Hello colleagues!
The standard reverb in VDJ doesn't sound very good. In Traktor, for example, everything is much nicer. I would like to make a normal reverb for neat transitions. There are many VST plugins in which you can get good reverb, but a problem appears - there is no tail. i.e. trail. You turn on the effect - the reverb appears. You turn it off - it immediately turns off as if it had never been there. This sounds unpleasant.
In general, the point is that they are all VST for DAW, there the signal path can be clearly defined. In VDJ, when you turn off the effect - the effect processor itself is turned off and the admixture in the main signal disappears. It is not clear how to get around this. There would be an option if there was a plugin that had a mute button that turns off the input signal and then the tail would appear by itself, but I did not find any. VDJ has a standard crutch - a plugin effect for programming combinations of effects. But it does not route the sound. I wanted to try some VST router, but it's complicated by the fact that I'll have to set up the router every time before a performance. In short, there is the use of plugins, but no routing.
Does anyone know how to overcome this?

Turn fxProcessing setting to post fader effects

Thanks for the answer!
I tried it, but it works. If you turn off the effect, it disappears, along with the tail. But if you remove it with the fader while the effect is on - yes, the tail is there.

The right way to go should be, a post fader effect setting on all effects ;)
Is this something that could be done?

After the fader you can turn it on. But if you turn off the effect, it is interrupted. There needs to be some way not to turn off the effect, but to turn off the sound feed to it. Then it will work as it should. But I did not find how to do this in Virtual DJ

branchFX > simpleVolume > reverb > branchOut @100% wet
for fx off
simpleVolume down to 0% > reverb stays on > branchOut 100% dry + 100% of the wet.
Seems like a lot of effort for 100ms or reverb tail.

thanks for the advice!
yes, it works. Probably it can be programmed to a button/knob so you don't have to adjust it every time. It works like this:
branchFX (4%) > simpleVolume (control)> reverb > branchOut (50%)
But in this case the track volume is 50%... is it possible to somehow increase it?
And can you tell me if it can be programmed with commands for simple use?

I have a branchFX variation that does 1.0w + 1.0d, unreleased but my policy, I don't sell to home licence users.
So I guess, make do, keep looking for a vst, or get a licence then cross my palm with beer tokens.

it's a pity
It is unlikely that we will see changes in working with plugins from developers
it looks like I'll have to write an analogue myself
anyway - thanks for the advice!
